The Wimbledon trips I went on were in 1976 and 1977. It was a baking hot day on both occasions. Ilie Nastase signed autographs and I managed to snap a photograph of him (1977)
I vaguely recall that 1977 was the year that they opened the museum there – Queens Silver Jubilee.
